Scope of this policy

This policy covers the public Web Scraper website, the free browser extension described on this site, and messages sent to our published contact addresses. It does not apply to third-party websites you scrape or visit with the extension. Those sites have their own privacy practices and terms.

How the extension works

The extension runs in your browser against pages you open. Scraped page content that you select for export is processed locally in the browser session unless a future product feature you explicitly enable sends data elsewhere. This first release focuses on local extension use and does not require an account.

Information we may process

Infrastructure providers may process limited technical data needed to deliver and secure the website, such as IP address, request time, requested path, user agent, and security signals.

If you email us, we receive the content of your message and the address you use to contact us so we can respond.

Production deployments may use anonymous product measurement for page views and basic site interactions. Those events may include the page path, general device or browser information, and an event name. They are not intended to include scraped page contents or exported files.

Cookies and local storage

The public website does not require an account cookie. The browser may cache scripts, fonts, and icons so later visits load faster. The extension may store local preferences needed for normal operation on your device.

Service providers

Website delivery, security, and related infrastructure may be provided by hosting and CDN partners. Providers process limited technical data under their terms and data-protection commitments.

Retention

Contact emails are retained long enough to respond and handle follow-up questions. Infrastructure logs follow the configured provider retention period. Local extension data remains on your device until you clear it or uninstall the extension.
